And a Fourth Bluebird Egg, April 21, 2022
Mrs. Bluebird was busy this morning and laid a fourth egg. She may lay up to three more before she starts sitting on them.
We’re having a windy day and there is lots of wind noise. And, you can see that the camera can’t adjust to the bright light coming through the box’s opening. This was the first box I built with a camera. Later boxes were taller to reduce lens flare which also helped balance the light. I’ll encourage the birds to move to one of the newer boxes for their next clutch.
You can see some of my images, and order prints on my website at http://ianclark.com.
We’re watching eastern bluebirds raise their family in our camera-equipped nesting box. The camera is mounted permanently in the box to let us watch without disturbing the birds.
